Reiseverlauf

Exemplary route

Day 1: Arrival in Campo Grande and transfer (by car and/or small plane) to the Fazenda in the Rio Negro region, one of the best preserved areas of the Pantanal. In the afternoon there will be a short briefing of the tour and if time allows, you will break for a first ride in the surroundings. You will have the opportunity to get to know the strong Panatneiro horses and the local, very comfortable saddles. On this occasion you will get a great first impression of the Pantanal with its many animal species. Dinner and overnight at the Fazenda Baia das Pedras.

Day 2: After breakfast you will saddle your horses and ride through the surrounding fields and meadows around the traditional Fazenda. The farm has about 4000 cattle, which are spread over the immense river basin of the Castelo Vazante. There is also a lot of activity along the river and you can see animals such as crocodiles, tapirs, monkeys, coatis, wild boars and countless bird species such as the toucan, macaw and parrot. In the afternoon you return to the fazenda where you will have the opportunity to help the gauchos and drive cattle. Riding time about 6 hours.

Day 3: Today you start early to a camp in the middle of the wilderness and a long day in the saddle awaits you. The trail leads you through the landscape of the Vazante Castelo, where you can always admire the richness of the animal world. On the riverbank the forest thins out and you will see many exotic bird species. You will meet the luggage van with field kitchen and stop for lunch. In the afternoon you will continue along the banks of the Vazante do Castelo. In the early evening you will reach the camp where you will stay overnight. You will be surprised by the great infrastructure of the camp, with fixed kitchen and bathrooms. Riding time about 6 hours.

Day 4: Woken up by the chirping of the birds, you will set off after breakfast for a short walk along the river. Here you can take a closer look at the animal kingdom and you will certainly be able to see one or the other model. Back at the camp your lunch awaits you. In the afternoon you will set off on horseback into the swampy landscapes of the Pantanal. Here you will find open, wide plains as well as original forests on the banks of the Vazante. In the evening you will reach the camp again and after dinner you will go down to the river with flashlights to see Aligatore, pure excitement! Riding time approx. 6 hours.

Day 5: Today you will ride over the wide plains where the Pantaneiro horses graze. They can even graze with their nose under water. You will reach the region of the Rio Negro and can see a change in the landscape. Lunch at the Fazenda Barra Mansa. In the afternoon you will go on a boat trip, can relax and swim on white sandy beaches and have the opportunity to fish piranhas. Back at the Fazenda, an aperitif awaits you and you will end the day together before falling asleep exhausted. Riding time approx. 6 hours

Day 6: Early in the morning you start riding. You will explore the unique area around the Rio Negro and you can also discover wild animals like otters, anacondas, capybaras or even jaguars.
