Portugal is a country of astonishing diversity, idyllic weather, welcoming people and exceptional horse riding. Portugal contains enough World Heritage Sites, picture postcard scenery and windswept coastlines to keep any visitor busy – especially on a world-class horse riding vacation! 

The "Costa Azul" coast is about 180km - the same as the Algarve. The westcoast of portugal is almost unpeopled. There are many cultural sites. The outback of protugal has a rich and varied landscape. Especially the lagoons of the "Rio Sado" river in the 23.000 ha national park are worth a visit. You can watch some wild dolpins at an 60km beach there. 

There are some nice spots up-country too. To the south of Alentejo to the borders of spain you can discover blooming meadows, lakes, oak groves and nativ villages. The villages provide some wellness programs so you wont miss anything. 

In the south, next to the algarve, you will have many programs with spanish horses like the lusitanos. The programs fit for beginners and advanced riders as well.
