Reiseverlauf

Black Forest Trail (7 days/6 nights):

Day 1: Individual arrival from 4 pm off at the Black Forest Farm, idyllically situated in the middle of a small forest clearing. You will spend the night there in individually furnished, cosy guest rooms. Our partner has furnished them individually and with great attention to detail. From the rooms and from the terrace you have a wonderful view over the landscape and can peacefully watch the horses graze on the lush meadows. During dinner you will get to know the group and discuss the trail.

Day 2: After breakfast you will take care of your horse. A first approx. 3-hour ride to get to know your horse and to explore the beautiful landscape of the southern Black Forest. Ride through forests and meadows before you return to the idyllically situated horse farm. Perhaps there is even time to refresh yourself in the Kirnbergsee, which is not far away and invites you to refresh in summer. During dinner with your group first experiences can be exchanged. Overnight at the farm.

Day 3: Strengthened by breakfast, you start the trail. The way leads through rustic forest and over the Wutach River, along which you follow for a while. A truly idyllic scenery! The overnight is in a lovingly furnished guesthouse above an old, quaint brewery pub, which is still operating. Just try a freshly tapped, regional beer during dinner!

Day 4: Today´s ride takes you via Lenzkirch deep into the hilly landscape of the Black Forest. Enjoy the views that await you. In Saig you will descend to Titisee Neustadt, where you can enjoy a wonderful, wide view over Lake Titisee itself and up to the Feldberg (the highest elevation of the Black Forest, located in the southern Black Forest about 25 km southeast of Freiburg). After a midday refreshment, the tour continues over a range of hills. Panoramic views can be enjoyed for sure. Finally you reach the holiday resort of St. Märgen, the home of the Black Forest Foxes. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel there.

Day 5:
After breakfast you saddle up and depart to rough terrain. Mystic and hidden places lay on your way through the Black Forest. The terrain is hilly and therefore a bit more strenuous for horse and rider. Some passages you will have to lead your horse by foot. After the ascent, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view! The view of the Schauinsland and the Feldberg as well as wide areas of forest and meadows form a perfect back . The ideal stop to take photos. Via the Brendturm you will reach the source of the Danube, and towards evening you will reach Furtwangen. There you have dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 6: Follow the Breg for a long stretch, which together with the Brigach forms the Danube as it flows together. The two headwaters of the Danube keep you company on your ride today. Along old railway tracks you are invited to gallop. One last hill, then you reach the stable again. The horses will be taken care of before dinner is served. Exchange the experiences of the week with a glass of wine and let the evening come to a relaxed end.

Day 7: Individual departure after breakfast. Before you start your journey home, you can take a stroll through the beautiful old town of Bräunlingen or visit a brine bath in the nearby surroundings - just as you like!

NEW Danube Delta Trail (8 days/7 nights)

Day 1: Arrival from 4 pm off. Dinner and briefing.

Day 2: After breakfast you saddle your horse and start your adventure. You follow the Brändbach through idyllic forest landscapes until you cross the Danube in Pforen. There the horses can quench their thirst and cool their legs before you ride on after a lunch picnic. In the evening you reach your hotel. On this day dinner is not included.

Day 3: After a rich breakfast you saddle your horses and start your ride into a valley near Möhringen, where you ride into the Danube again. At noon you will have a picnic lunch before you continue riding through beautiful deciduous forests and explore nature. Your destination today is a rustic trail riding station.

Day 4: After enjoying the complete silence of the night, you will have breakfast before turning to your horses. Today you will ride so deep into nature, along the Danube, that you will not meet any cars. Pure idyll and nature! Today you will also spend the night in a trail riding station near Irndorf.

Day 5: After the complete peace and quiet of your accommodation you will welcome the new day refreshed and full of energy! You ride over the Swabian Alb in the direction of Böttingen. The hilly landscape here is characterised by extensive, lush meadows - a true dream for riders and nature lovers. You finish this day with the arrival at your accommodation.

Day 6: Today belongs to the highlight of this tour, the cattle work! You will be supported by real cowboys, train the herding of single cattle and finally move the whole herd to a new pasture. It does not matter if you already have experience with cattle or not.

Day 7: After a lovely breakfast you will have another opportunity to put what you have learned into practice regarding the cattle, before you make your way back to the home stable after lunch. The last part of the tour will be transported by car and in the evening a delicious dinner awaits you.

Day 8: Breakfast and departure.

Please note that the program may change at short notice due to weather conditions, e.g. riding through less slippery terrain after heavy rainfall. This is for your safety as well as the safety of the horses.
