Located at the base of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest, the 520-acre Ranch offers guests the opportunity to explore the mountains on the back of a horse. Horseback riding is what the Ranch is known for and offers horses suitable for all levels of experience. You'll traverse the vast prairies, to ride along and through the Judith River and explore the mountains of the Helena Lewis & Clark National Forest. For more experienced rider riders, trotting and cantering sections can be added into the rides if the terrain allows.

Itinerary

Guests can take part in the activities on the day of arrival and departure. You can ride twice a day, except on Sundays, when the horses have the afternoon off. As a rule, the morning rides start at around 9am and the afternoon rides at around  2pm.
If you would like to ride already on your day of arrival, we recommend that you arrive at Ranch by 1pm at the latest.

The rides last between 1 and 3 hours, depending on where you want to go to ride . the trail rides are leading you over wide, open meadows and on mountainous, pine-lined paths, many rides also include river crossings.
New guests start with a slow trail ride and can then move on to more advanced trot and to walk rides when they show that they can safely control their horse.

Whether you are an experienced rider rider or have never been on a horse before, we have the right horse for you. Our Wranglers will match you with a horse that suits your abilities.
Ride in mountainous terrain, trot across wide fields and cross the Judith River - all on the back of your trusty steed. Maybe to ride back and forth across the river, to the local elk sanctuary or up to Porcupine Ridge for a breakfast cookout. With the neighboring 2.8 million acres of the Helena Lewis and Clark National Forest, there are endless trails to explore under the big sky.
Sometimes guests have the opportunity to drive cattles as well for a few hours.

Non-rider program:
Non-riders can take part in activities such as hiking, fishing, cycling (e-bikes), quad biking and archery.
