You will experience a combination of adventurous rides and comfortable accommodation. Enjoy a fantastic adventure vacation in the jungles of West Belize. Wake up to the calls of toucans and parrots. On horseback or on foot you will discover ancient Mayan ruins, hidden caves, exotic birds, remote waterfalls and more. In the evenings, filled with the sounds of howler monkeys and the scents of flowers blooming at night, let you fall asleep. You will remember this enchanting place forever.
The cabanas have comfortable Spanish style rooms with thatched roofs. Each room has a private bathroom with hot and cold water. There is no electricity in the rooms, but you can charge your electrical appliances in the cantina. Internet is also available in the cantina and in some rooms.

Day 1: Saturday You will be picked up by a driver upon arrival at Belize International Airport. Stop at the Belize Zoo on your arrival or departure day, depending on your schedule. You will arrive at your accommodations after a long day, relax and enjoy the sounds, smells and views of the jungle valley before dining with your hosts and retreating to your cabana for the night.
Day 2: Sunday After breakfast you will get to know your horse and take a 6 hour day ride to the Big Rock Falls in the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. The trail winds through various ecosystems and terrains while your guide points out special features and explains the traditional use of rainforest plants. Enjoy a gourmet lunch and swim at the beautiful waterfalls, relax for a while and then return to the lodge on horseback.
Day 3: Monday Today you ride to the Nohoch Sayab River Cave at Barton Creek. The trail winds through the villages of Siete Millas and El Progresso. Later you will reach a Mennonite community where you can observe old agricultural practices, horse-drawn carriages and mills. A steep, narrow path leads down into the fertile Barton Creek valley, where large fruit trees grow and a rich tropical flora thrives. Once you arrive at Barton Creek Outpost, get into a canoe and paddle upstream in the shade of a huge limestone cliff overgrown with climbing plants. Then you suddenly disappear and paddle deep into a sparkling stalactite cave. When you return to the cave entrance, enjoy a swim and a delicious lunch before returning to your accommodation. Riding time approx. 6 hours.
Day 4: Tuesday This day starts with a beautiful 3 hour ride. After lunch in the cantina you will drive to San Ignacio by car to visit the fascinating ruins of Cahal Pech. There are shopping facilities and you will experience the ambience of the beautiful city of San Ignacio at the confluence of the Mopan and Macal rivers, where they merge into the Belize River. You return to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing evening.
Day 5: Wednesday One completely riding with about 6 hours. Explore Swallow Cave, lunch and swimming at Butterfly Falls. On this tour you will explore an old Mayan cave. Besides the interesting formations you will see evidence of the Mayan culture. After the cave tour refresh yourself with a cool swim in the crystal clear waters of Butterfly Falls and enjoy another gourmet lunch. With a bit of luck, you might see some wildlife on the way back. Dinner and overnight in your accommodation.
Day 6: Thursday Today you get up a little earlier and leave at 7.30 am to the magnificent ruins of Caracol in the Chiquibul Forest Reserve. At Caracol a knowledgeable guide will accompany you on your exploration. The ruins are located in a lush jungle where many animals live. Climb to the highest building in Belize, Caana. Parrots and monkeys are regularly seen here. After lunch you will depart and stop for a swim at the refreshing Macal River or Rio On. In time for dinner you return to the lodge and your cabana.
Day 7: Friday Half day ride, about 3 hours or guided hike to the Mayan ruins of Pacbitun. Lunch at an ancient Mayan viewpoint overlooking the valley of the Upper Belize River and the Mayan towns of Cahal Pech and Xunantunich. The riders visit a Mayan burial cave and return around 2:00 p.m. to rest and relax or to undertake activities of your choice.
Day 8: Saturday After breakfast you will say goodbye to your hosts and return to Belize City. Visit the Orange Gift Shop and the Belize Zoo, depending on the time. The departure time from the accommodations is determined according to the flight schedules and needs of the entire group.

During the ride you will stay overnight in the mountain lodge. The Spanish style cabanas are spacious, cool and comfortable, with private bathrooms, hot water and queen size bed.
